The Coffyn Family
Did you know Bible translation is currently in progress for more than 4,000 language groups worldwide? This is great news thanks to the Lord, many of you and our partners across the globe! What’s the greatest need currently? Around 800 languages still remain where Bible translation hasn’t even begun.
Chris and Brenda Coffyn are missionaries from North Texas, serving with Wycliffe Canada through a strategic video ministry. Chris serves with Wycliffe as chief cameraman, producer, director; while Brenda assists in critical supporting roles. We gather mission stories from around the world, helping sustain the overall framework of Bible translation. That essential framework includes Scripture engagement, literacy and capacity building.
The Power of Story
The Lord has really multiplied our efforts through the films we are so privileged to produce. Our programs range from mobilization and informational, to fund-raising and more. By the grace of God, many of our videos are now receiving a world-wide audience.
We’ve even had the privilege of producing culturally relevant programs to assist our national brothers and sisters from Latin America, Asia and Africa to help mobilize their own people for the Bible translation ministry.
Not only is video multiplying our efforts, it is changing the destiny of countless lives for the Kingdom of God. Several families in Thailand dedicated their lives to do Bible translation work in India. A Wycliffe video planted the seed. How many precious souls will enter eternity as a result?
You can view a sample of some of our films on the Home page. Ever wonder what’s actually involved in putting a film together? Check out our production workflow.
God’s love…an open book
God’s Word changes lives. It builds communities, educates, and teaches men, women and children to love and serve one another. God’s Word gives life—when people understand it.
Wycliffe Bible Translators is a unique ministry. We serve minority language groups worldwide by fostering an understanding of God’s Word through Bible Translation, while nurturing literacy, education and stronger communities. We want marginalized groups, the poor and the overlooked to have a chance to know God’s incredible love and escape poverty.
